Does FinalWave master audio, video, or both?

Both. Upload an MP4 / MOV / WebM and we'll master the audio inside without re-encoding the picture (unless you're on free tier, which gets a watermark). Standalone audio (WAV / MP3 / FLAC) is on the roadmap.

How long does a master take?

Most clips finish in 30–60 seconds end-to-end. Files are processed on cloud GPUs and shipped back to you the moment they're ready.

How is this different from a preset or loudness normalizer?

We don't apply a generic curve. You pick a reference track, and our pipeline measures and matches its tonal balance, dynamics, and loudness — the way a mastering engineer would.

How long do you keep my files?

30 days by default. After that the source and mastered output are deleted from our storage and the project is marked expired in your dashboard. Master again any time.

Can I bring my own reference?

Custom user-provided references are coming. For launch, you choose from our curated library across genres and use cases.
